RESTORATIVE YOGA

Restorative Yoga is a practice that involves active relaxation. The focus is not on the quantity of poses but the quality, by activating the body’s relaxation response and bringing complete release of all tension held within the body.

Nourishing body reset

Props are used in restorative yoga to completely support the body and bring the floor up to meet and support the student. Fewer poses are explored and they are held for 5-20 minutes, allowing the body’s relaxation response to be activated.

Restorative Yoga can be beneficial for people who are going through major life transitions causing stress, those with regular daily stressors, those recovering from injuries or illnesses, people in need of deep relaxation and rest or anyone else who wishes to practice. There is no skill level or prior knowledge of yoga required for this practice.

There are currently no restorative yoga classes. If you would like to explore restorative yoga, please book a private session.
